Our Mission
Divas Basketball is an organization dedicated to helping young women in the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth area achieve their goals in higher education and in the sport of basketball.
The primary focus is around individual development, team work, and leadership skills. This is achieved through physical conditioning, active mental preparation, and exposure to difficult situations to increase critical thinking.
Although most teams measure success through wins and trophies, we measure success through smiles, success in the classroom, and interpersonal relationships.

John WooDs
Director of Grassroots Development
John Woods has recently joined the organization from his own skills development organization JAWS. Woods is a staple in the Allen/McKinney area, growing up and playing youth club and high school ball here in McKinney, and going on to play for the University of Missouri. Woods has personally developed multiple DFW area kids in both football and basketball, and has a heart for service. Woods will be responsible for grassroots development and focus on the 14-16U elite and competitive teams.
DeMarcus Minor
Director of Skills Development
DeMarcus Minor comes to the Divas Organization with the purpose of increasing visibility to women’s basketball after years of building and developing talent. DeMarcus is the definition of “IYKYK” where many people have asked to have him part of their organization, but he avoids the spotlight being on him. DeMarcus was a leader at Baylor University where he played Point Guard standing 6’6. Training with DeMarcus is guaranteed to be one of the toughest training sessions you have ever been a part of, and yet even the fiercest competitor wants to come back for more.
